Small Business Success

What does it really take to grow a small business
without all the stress, struggle and late nights?

Have you ever noticed how some people’s businesses draw customers like kids to a candy store? You know those entrepreneurs…
They’re always booked out way in advance. They are making sales in their sleep thanks to their hard-working websites and marketing. Plus they somehow have time for things like vacations and a life outside of work.

Then there are the businesses that have a truly worthwhile product or service, but never quite seem to get off the ground. They get a few customers here or there and kind of eek along. Unfortunately, they are usually just this side of closing their doors.
Somewhere in between are the folks stuck on the never-ending feast or famine roller coaster.
If you had to choose, it would be a steady flow of customers over the other two options any day.

If you truly have a useful, quality product or service there is no reason why you can't do the same. After all, there is a whole sea of potential customers out there.
You just have to know how to use consistent, strategic marketing to open the floodgates and have them start pouring through your door.

The truth is...Creating winning, sales-making marketing initiatives takes time (usually far more time than most entrepreneurs realize), experience, careful planning and implementation
Successful marketing isn’t just about writing a great ad or creating an interesting Website.
It’s about your unique company vision and communicating it to the world. It's about getting the attention of your ideal client—over and over—until they simply can’t live without the incredible benefits of your products or services any longer. It's about making sure you see results!

Contact Night Owl to attract new customers like kids to a candy store and see winning business initiatives for your company.
Remember that nothing happens until you take action.

Then it takes a little spark & a lot of hustle!"

Staying Focused & Motivated

It is difficult to start a business and sustain momentum. Staying focused & motivated can be a challenge.

Why do businesses fail in the first year? Your first answer may be funding. Would it surprise you to know that most fail due to losing interest & motivation in the business? It's true.
Pressure to succeed can be overwhelming. This pressure taps our insecurities which leads to fear, stress, worry; ultimately burn-out.
How can you stay focused, motivated for your business?
1. Seek support. Join local business networking groups. Start a business small group. Surround yourself with business stars. Make sure you are not the smartest one at the table. This will ensure you are receiving sound feedback & business advice from those who are succeeding.
2. Margins. Build in daily, weekly, monthly margins. What is that saying? The thing you can count on is change. When planning your business be sure to schedule in time to handle the unexpected. Schedule down time for yourself. Give yourself breathing room.
3. Inspiration. What inspires you? Surround yourself with pictures, quotes, music & people that spur your creativity. Read books that have nothing to do with business. Give your brain a little vacation.
4. Serve. Volunteer to teach kids about business. Call your local homeless shelter & see if they can use you to teach computers or serve food. Giving back is the best thing you can do for yourself. It is a great reminder of how blessed we are in life.
5. Exercise. It releases endorphins in the brain. It gets your muscles moving. It pushes you & ultimately makes you stronger not only physically, but mentally.

"Success comes from core beliefs and thinking habits that are true, positive and empowering."

Free Resources

I heard Craig Groeschel speak this weekend on his church's 15th anniversary. He is marketing major and applied ideas he learned in college to church leadership. One idea he has implemented that many have scoffed at - giving resources for FREE.
Do you have a cell phone? Do you have a computer?  Do you have a Bible app?
If it's You Version it's free from  Lifechurch.tv

Many have offered him millions to buy it. Many have told him to charge .99 for it. He says no,  God's Word should be free for everyone. Mr.Groeschel gives away tons of resources to churches. Their stance on this -  "We're passionate about freely sharing resources that bring people closer to God".

What are you passionate about?
Would you give away free resources to help someone find their passion?

Many businessmen would say it is not good business sense to give away your resources for free.
Lifechurch.tv began in 1996 in Craig's garage with 40 people. 15 years later they are in 6 states with over
26,000 members and the 2nd largest church in the nation. Mr. Groeschel would tell you giving away free resources hasn't hurt their growth one bit.
